Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that encompasses aspects of dance, martial arts, acrobatics, music and Brazilian culture in a single art form. Capoeira Malês ("ma-lehs") is dedicated to promoting the art of Capoeira in the GTA. Through the dedicated leadership of Professor Tropa, under the guidance of Mestre Lua, the capoeira students will learn the fundamental movements of capoeira, as well as understand its history of origins, its culture and development. We strive to provide our community with opportunities to explore active living through the art form of capoeira, and positively supporting the mental health and wellness of our community members.
